Physical Therapy - Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What makes physical therapy at Anaheim Community Hospital different?

Unlike many clinics where you may spend most of your time with an aide or assistant, our program is 100% Doctor-led. Every session is conducted one-on-one with a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) for the full duration of your appointment. This ensures you receive the highest level of clinical expertise, personalized adjustments, and dedicated attention at every visit.

How long are the sessions and how often do I need to come?

To ensure a thorough and effective recovery, each session lasts between 45 to 60 minutes. Depending on your specific condition and the customized treatment plan developed by Dr. Khaled, most patients attend therapy 1 to 3 times per week. Our goal is to provide high-quality, focused care that helps you reach your goals efficiently.

Do I need a referral, and do you accept my insurance?

We accept most major insurance plans, including those already accepted by Anaheim Community Hospital. While many insurance plans allow for direct access to physical therapy, some may require a doctor’s referral. We make this process easy—call us at 714-243-9170, and our team will verify your insurance coverage and referral requirements for you before your first appointment.

What can I expect during my first visit?

Your first visit will consist of a comprehensive evaluation with Dr. Mo Khaled. He will assess your mobility, strength, and pain levels to identify the root cause of your issue. You will leave your first session with a clear understanding of your diagnosis, a customized treatment plan, and a proactive strategy for your recovery.
