Medical-Surgical Services - Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What conditions are treated under Inpatient Medical-Surgical Services?

Our inpatient medical-surgical services focus on acute medical conditions and surgical needs. Examples include gallbladder attacks, appendectomies, hernia repairs, and other short-term issues requiring hospitalization and expert care.

Do you offer emergency or intensive care services?

Anaheim Community Hospital does not provide emergency room (ER) or intensive care unit (ICU) services. We specialize in structured care for acute medical and surgical conditions that do not require ER or ICU intervention. Patients are referred to our hospital by their doctors for specialized services, often at a lower cost than other hospitals.

What should I expect during my stay?

Patients receive personalized care starting with a thorough assessment to create a tailored treatment plan. After surgery or treatment, patients recover in our modern inpatient units, supported by skilled nurses and physicians. A comprehensive discharge plan ensures continuity of care after leaving the hospital.

What types of surgeries do you perform?

We specialize in minimally invasive laparoscopic procedures such as appendectomies, cholecystectomies (gallbladder removal), and hernia repairs, along with other general surgical treatments.

What diagnostic and support services are available?

Our hospital features onsite diagnostic radiology for imaging needs and a CLIA-certified laboratory for accurate and timely testing. Additionally, we offer specialized therapies such as Spravato (esketamine), TMS, and ECT for patients requiring advanced treatment.

Does Anaheim Community Hospital accept insurance?

We accept most major insurance plans and we have cash pay and other pricing plans. For specific coverage questions, please contact your insurance provider or our business office department for assistance.
